The time that all FFA members, advisors, parents, alumni, sponsors, donors and guests have been looking forward to is almost here in less than a month. The 89th Nebraska FFA State Convention is April 5-7.

Here is a schedule of some of the events:
Wednesday, April 5, 2017:
12:00-4:30: Convention Expo in Pinnacle Bank Arena (PBA)
Over 35 booths will be set-up for students and guests to learn more about the agriculture industry and connect with colleges.
5:30-6:30: “I Believe” Reception (ticket necessary for event)
The top 20 FFA chapters and the I Believe in the Future of Ag corporate partners will be recognized at the reception before being recognized on stage.
7:00: Opening Session in PBA
The Opening Session will include “I Believe” chapter recognition, Gary Scharf Helping Hand Award and recognition of new agriculture instructors.
Thursday, April 6, 2017:
8:00-4:30: Convention Expo in PBA
The FFA Expo continues on the second day with over 35 booths set-up for students and guests to learn more about the agriculture industry and connect with colleges.
9:00-11:00: Second Convention Session in PBA
National Chapter Awards, Feed Nebraska Program Recognition, Growing Leaders Awards, Building Communities Awards and Strengthening Agriculture Awards will all be awarded at the Second Convention Session.
1:00-3:00: Third Convention Session in PBA
Katie Rowley and Michael Dreiling Memorial Scholarship, Nebraska FFA Alumni Scholarship, Premier Chapter Awards and Nebraska Farm Bureau Teacher and Advisor of the Year Awards will be presented at the Third Convention Session.
4:30-6:30: Fourth Convention Session in PBA
During the Fourth Convention Session the Nebraska FFA Foundation Board will be recognized, Distinguished Service Awards will be presented and the Governor’s Award of Excellence will be awarded.
7:00: Proficiency Finalist Banquet
All proficiency finalists and sponsors are invited to the Proficiency Finalist Banquet to give the sponsors a chance to meet with the FFA members that will be awarded with their proficiency.
Friday, April 7, 2017:
8:30-10:30: Fifth Convention Session in PBA
The Fifth Convention Session will be the session when all proficiency awards are awarded.
10:00-4:00: Career Fair in PBA
The Career Fair will have over 45 booths for FFA members to visit and meet with potential employers.
1:00-3:00: Sixth Convention Session in PBA
During the Sixth Convention Session the Career Development Awards, Agriscience Fair Awards and Leadership Skills Events Awards will be presented.
4:00-6:15: Seventh Convention Session in PBA
The State Degree Ceremony and announcement of the 2017-2018 State Officer Team will happen during the Seventh Convention Session.
