Today marks the kick-off of National FFA Week. Each year, FFA chapters across the nation celebrate this week to share the story of FFA and how it's preparing future leaders through agricultural education.
Designated as a national week in 1947, the week of George Washington's birthday, National FFA Week runs from Saturday to Saturday. This week was selected to celebrate the impact George Washington had on agriculture.
FFA chapters across the country are using this week to help others in their school and community learn about FFA and agriculture education. They're doing community service projects, having school dress-up days and educating others about the importance of agriculture to name a few activities.
Take this week to reflect on yoru experience in agriculture education, engage with your local FFA chapter and thank you advisor.
