Give FFA Day 2023

Save the Date! Give FFA Day 2023

To help celebrate National FFA Week, National FFA is launching Give FFA Day, an online donation campaign that will promote the spirit of giving in FFA. This year, it will take place on February 23rd, the Thursday of National FFA Week. Donations for the online campaign will only be accepted on that day.

NEBRASKA FFA: GROWING LEADERS, BUILDING COMMUNITIES, CREATING CAREER CONNECTIONS

The mission of the Nebraska FFA Foundation is to enhance quality education and FFA programs in order to achieve excellence in leadership development, curriculum innovation and scholastic advancement of students.

That's the official mission, but what we really do is prepare young people to become successful adults, leaders in their communities and successful in their chosen career pathway.

WHY WE NEED YOUR DONATION

In growing leaders, the Nebraska FFA Foundation continues to support teachers through professional development funding. Professional development helps to strengthen teachers' skills and knowledge, whether they've been teaching for a couple of years or for over twenty years, like Melissa Bonifas from the Blue Hill agriculture education program.

In building communities, the local chapter grant program continues to fill the gaps between local resources and what it takes to maintain quality programming. Your support has helped many agriculture education programs like the Hampton Animal Lab "Hawk Herd". In Hampton, not only are students learning valuable skills in agriculture, but they are learning what it takes to build a community.

In creating career connections, Nebraska FFA members continue to get hands-on experience with their Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE). At the 2022 National FFA Convention, Morayah Cupp, Imperial FFA member, was selected as a Proficiency Award Finalist in Ag Services. Morayah received a local chapter SAE grant from the Nebraska FFA Foundation. We need to continue to support more FFA members who are exploring how to start a business in agriculture.

We are committed to the day when we have successfully addressed the growing needs of agriculture education students, teachers and programs so Nebraska FFA and local FFA programs have all the resources they need to cultivate a bright future for leaders of tomorrow who will be the workforce and advocates for agriculture. Your support is essential in this effort!
