2026 Chapter and Classroom Grant Application
Chapter & Classroom Grants
Deadline June 30, 2026 4:00 pm
The Nebraska FFA Foundation Grant Program provides funding for local agriculture classrooms and FFA programs that demonstrate a clearly defined and described financial need. Keep in mind to think realistically if this is a project that can be fully completed by June 2027, if not please apply the next year instead. All grant-related administrative work will take place during the school year. Grant funding will be awarded after all required documentation is completed, which must be submitted by June 1, 2027. The Nebraska FFA Foundation will work with grant recipients to ensure this requirement is met. If requirements are not met, you will not receive the grant funding.
Grant Option #1: Matching Grant | Up to $10,000 | 1:1 Match Required | Funder Nebraska FFA Foundation Donors
This option supports classroom or chapter projects with access to matching funds. Grant options 3 and/or 4 may be used as part of the required match. Example: A $12,000 project may request $6,000 with a $6,000 match.
Grant Option #2: Large Project Matching Grant | $30,000 - $100,000 | Minimum $10,000 match required | Funders: Nebraska FFA Foundation and Growing a Brighter Future for Nebraska FFA and Agricultural Education Grant
Designed for grant requests for modernization of classrooms, equipment or lab spaces that are large, high impact projects. Grant options 3 and 4 may NOT be used as matching funds. You are able to apply for all four options though. Your school would be an example of the $10,000 match. This option will require zoom or in-person meetings at least two times along with photo progress throughout the project. Once completed, Foundation staff and guests will visit to see the completed grant project and write a news release. Example: A $75,000 project must include at least $10,000 in matching funds.
Grant Option #3: Non-Matching Grant | Up to $5,000 | No match required
Available to any FFA chapter in Nebraska. This grant does not require matching funds and may be used as part of the 1:1 match for grant option 1. It may not be used with grant option 2. Example: A $4,500 project may request the full $4,500 with no match required.
Grant Option #4: NIFA/Governor's Award of Excellence Grant | $1,000 or $2,500 | No match required
This grant may be used as a standalone grant or used as part of the 1:1 match for grant option 1 only. Example: A $2,500 project may request full funding with not match required. If you are applying for grant option #2, please submit another application for what you want to use the NIFA Grant funding for the $1,000 or $2,500 total to clearly show what you are applying for to the committees.
